The subtle tone-on-tone squares make this charcoal cotton look almost solid from a distance, which is exactly what I needed for a neutral quilt backing. It washed up beautifully with no shrinkage issues, and the fabric has a nice hand feel without being too stiff.

The tiny squares are barely noticeable from a distance but add such nice texture up close, making it a great neutral for my quilting projects. It's soft right out of the package and presses really well.

I love how the tone-on-tone squares give this charcoal fabric a textured look without being too busy—it added just the right depth to my patchwork quilt. The 100% cotton was easy to cut and pressed crisply, which I really appreciate.
