Sweet Little Friends 蜜蜂 奶油色 by Gabriela Dachin for Paintbrush Studios

I was a little worried the muted colors might wash out on darker fabric, but the bees pop beautifully and the sketchy quality keeps it from feeling too babyish. The minimalist animals are just the right size for a small quilt project, and the creamy background is softer than I expected.

The sketchy florals against those minimalist little animals is such a charming combo—I keep finding new details every time I look at the fabric. It’s soft to the touch too, so it’s going to be perfect for the baby quilt I’m piecing together.

The muted colors are exactly what I wanted for a nursery project, and the sketchy florals give it a soft, hand-drawn feel that’s hard to find in fabric. The bees are tiny but clear, so they read well from a distance without being loud.
