골드 (Speckles by Felicity Fabrics)

The speckles are just subtle enough to read as texture from across the room, but up close they add such a lovely depth to patchwork. The 100% cotton has a nice, sturdy hand without feeling stiff, and the 43/44 inch width gave me plenty of room to cut fussy pieces.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this fabric presses—the creases fall right out with a hot iron, making piecing a breeze. The subtle speckled pattern adds just the right amount of interest without overwhelming a quilt top.

The weight of this 100% cotton is just right for quilting without feeling too stiff. Those little speckles really do blend in perfectly with my other prints, making the whole project look more cohesive.
