Grasscloth Foliage by Heather Peterson for Riley Blake Designs

I used this as a background for a botanical quilt and the dimensional color really makes the leaves pop. The subtle texture gives it a natural, almost woven feel that photographs beautifully.

The woven texture in this grasscloth print is subtle enough that it reads almost like a solid from across the room, but up close it has real depth. I used it for sashings and it played nicely against busier prints without competing.

I bought this for a quilt background and the woven texture adds so much more interest than a flat solid. It presses nicely and didn't fray much when I cut it, so the whole top came together faster than expected.
