The tiny tone-on-tone squares read as a soft texture from across the room, which makes it surprisingly forgiving for a first quilting project. I've already cut into it for a throw pillow cover and the weave held up beautifully through the machine.

The tone-on-tone squares give this fabric a really nice texture without being too busy, perfect for a simple quilt backing I just finished. The hand feels soft and it pressed up nicely with no stretching.

The tiny squares are so subtle they almost look solid from a distance, which is exactly what I needed for a background in my quilt. It's soft right out of the package and handled the pre-wash without any shrinkage. I'm already planning a dress with the leftover yardage.
