The hand-dyed pattern on this cotton is so rich, with the Mardi Gras colors really popping against the silver accents. I’m already planning a quilt top around it since the 44/45-inch width gives me plenty of layout flexibility.

The colors are so much richer in person than on screen—that silver really pops against the deep purple and teal in the batik pattern. The 100% cotton has a nice crisp hand feel, and at 44 inches wide I got plenty of yardage for my quilt backing. Cut into it this morning and the fabric didn't fray at
